Key Executives Mega-Conference

Feb. 23-25, 2015

More than 700 newspaper industry executives are expected to attend the Key Executives Mega-Conference, to be held in Atlanta Feb. 23-25.  The program features some of the top minds in the newspaper industry, talking about topics that range from managing digital audiences and organizing sales teams to event marketing and video strategies, to recruiting and retaining millennials.

The 2015 program was organized by Carol Hudler, CEO of Hudler Success Strategies.  Drawing upon her first-hand experience as group president for the Gannett U.S. Community Publishing Division and as publisher of daily newspapers in Nashville, Fort Myers and Macon, Hudler created a program centered on pressing concerns and unsolved challenges – both good and bad – that keep publishers awake at night.

Recognizing that every participant comes to this event with similar but distinct challenges, the 2015 program offers a wide range of topics in breakout sessions.  These sessions give all attendees the opportunity to pick and choose topics that meet their individual needs, while maintaining opportunities to visit with old friends and meet new colleagues.

Speakers include media analyst Ken Doctor, who will open the conference; Jay Lauf, publisher of Quartz; Eric Harris, executive vice president of business operations for BuzzFeed; Dallas Morning News publisher and CEO Jim Moroney; Michael Burcham, CEO of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, and Ryan Jenkins of Next Generation Catalyst.

The annual conference is co-sponsored by Southern Newspaper Publishers Association, Inland Press Association and Local Media Association.

The event also includes a Trade Show staffed by more than 80 companies that supply goods and services to the newspaper industry.
