A "list consultant" has approached at least one company that does business with newspapers with an offer to sell them an Excel spreadsheet listing conference attendees with contact information. It is a fake list.
The only way to receive a legitiate Excel spreadsheet of actual attendees is to become a sponsor or exhibitor at the Mega-Conference. All sponsors and exhibitors will receive an Excel spreadsheet – from the Mega-Conference organizers – listing conference attendees several weeks in advance of the conference.
